45 locks at 22 lock stations (only 10% of the total length) connecting pastoral lakes and rivers.
All but 3 locks are operated manually using the same mechanisms that were used in 1832.
…Approximately 354 nm (655 km or 406 mi) round trip…
(not counting all that marvelous sailing in the Thousand Islands)
